St. John
St. John is the largest city in New Brunswick and is famous for its colorful atmosphere. Attractions of this city include its special culture, galleries and museums. The pristine and untouched nature of the area gives visitors the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities.
The entrance to St. John’s Port overlooking the city and the sea is where Signal Hill National Historic Site is located. The reason for the choice of this name is that in 1901 the first wireless signal was received at this location. Although the current heights of the region were built in 1812, the city has played an important and strategic role in the war with France.
Cabot Tower is one of the main locations in Signal Hill. The tower was built in 1897 to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the discovery of Newfoundland. From the top of the tower, you can see panoramic views from the city and the beach to Cape Spear, the easternmost point of North America, and enjoy its beautiful view.
St. John has warm summers and mild winters.
