Applicants who have self-employed work experience in the fields of cultural activities and athletics can apply to immigrate to Canada under federal self-employed stream. Applicants should indicate that they have at least 2 years of relevant work experience in the past five years, intention and ability to become self-employed in Canada, and are able to make a significant contribution to specific economic and cultural activities in Canada.

Selection criteria are based on six factors (experience, education, age, language abilities, adaptability). In addition, applicants need to undergo medical examination and submit police certificates.
