Federal Skilled Trades Class

This immigration program intends to fill Canada’s growing labor shortage in some skilled trades by facilitating the immigration through this program. This program is mostly suitable for those who do not meet the selection criteria established for federal skilled worker program.
The requirements of this stream are:
  1. To have at least 2 years of work experience in the past 5 years in one of the qualified occupations
Note: Career types like Volunteer and apprenticeship jobs are not considered as work experience in this method.
  1. To have either a full-time, non-seasonal job offer in Canada or a certificate of qualification from a Canadian provincial or territorial authority
  2. To have CLB 5 in speaking and listening and CLB 4 in writing and reading
  3. Applicants should meet the employment requirement of the NOC
