Quebec Self-employed Program

Similar to federal business programs, Quebec also has its own programs to attract business applicants, one of which is Quebec self-employed program. This program is designed to attract self-employed workers who have the intention to reside in Quebec and create their own job/business. The requirements are:

  • To have at least 100,000 CAD as net asset
  • To make a startup deposit of 50,000 CAD if they want to reside in Montreal or 25,000 CAD if they want to reside outside of Montreal
  • At least 2 years of work experience as a self-employed

Unlike federal self-employed program which only aims to attract athletes and artists, this program does not have any limitation and every person who has a self-employed experience can participate.

Applicants should secure a minimum of 44 points (unmarried applicants) and 51 points (married applicants) in order to be qualified for this program.
